What is the opportunity?

As a Channels Solution Architect, you will be responsible for the translation of functional and non-functional requirements into a solution design. You will be describing it through standardised design artefacts and ensuring alignment to the target architectures, principles, patterns and standards.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with business customers, architecture, and applications development teams to define solution/technical architecture. You will evaluate new technology/platform for suitability into landscape, and find opportunities and improvements to deliver greater business value!

In this Role, you will

  • Be accountable for delivering effective solution designs within the Bank's channel platform, taking the lead on the delivery from an channel design perspective and ensure solutions align with strategic architecture principles and direction
  • Work with the business and programme to help refine their requirements
  • Present to the Bank's Architecture Review Board when necessary
  • Engage with key partners in the enterprise architect function and across the business
  • Review design artefacts from other channel solution architects within the factory team
  • Define and derive standard processes in the channel space, adopting industry standard methodologies and highlighting areas within the channel factory that require remediation

You are able to take a lead role and take ownership of designing solution for large scale projects and programme with scalability, reliability & security. The strongest candidates will have a continuous improvement and innovative attitude.

You have a proven track record as Solution Architect working in a multi-vendor environment with architecting experience for multiple channels (Web & Mobile) and have the ability to build integration solution architecture based on EA standards.

Knowledge and/or experience with the following technologies is extremely desirable to be considered for this role:

  • Designing solutions based on leading banking vendor applications. E.g., Temenos, Fintech Services etc .
  • Designing solutions that cover both cloud & on-premises infrastructure
  • Multiple architecture domains. E.g., Digital Onboarding/Origination, Core Banking, Payments, API's & Microservices, Downstream
  • Service oriented and RESTful APIS Architecture
  • Java and Springboot
  • JavaScript, HTML, ReactJS and React Native

Essential Qualifications

  • 3rd level degree in similar subject area or equivalent experience
  • TOGAF or IASA Certification is a plus

The Bank's Channel Factory provides critical channel and engineering services to support the Bank's change programme of initiatives.

Our Channels factory operates a 'one team' culture delivering through multi-functional squads. Solution architects operate as a shared service provider to the delivery squads in developing solution plans and designing the end-to-end channel solutions.
